In which division will my child play during the Fall 2025 Season?
The Fall 2025 season’s division is based on the age a player will turn during the 2026 calendar year.* So even if your child does not turn 9 until December 2026, they are considered AYSO age 9 (because they will turn 9 in 2026) and need to play in the 11U division in the Fall 2025 season. Confusing? Yes, we know. It's not our personal rule, it comes from over our heads. All automatic AYSO Division move ups are done in the Fall. Move ups in the Spring are on a case by case basis and with the permission of the Coaching Coordinator and Regional Commissioners.
We’re a fully insured club and to be insured we must follow the AYSO National guidelines. Below is a chart to help. This is a link to further explanation of the age/division classification from AYSO.
Under no circumstance can a child under the age of 3 participate in AYSO Activities.
Birth Year | Age in 2025 | Division for Fall 2025 |
2023
| 3
| Playground (we can not allow 2 yr olds to play! They must be 3 at the time our season starts)
|
2022 | 4 | Playground |
2021 | 5 | 6U |
2020 | 6 | 6U |
2019 | 7 | 8U |
2018 | 8 | 8U |
2017 | 9 | 11U |
2016 | 10 | 11U |
2015 | 11 | 11U |
2014 | 12 | 14U |
2013 | 13 | 14U |
2012 | 14 | 14U |
*One exception. AYSO allows players to move up in division, but never down. This means if your child was assigned to 6U they can play in 8U or even 11U, but no player assigned to 8U can play in 6U, no player assigned to 11U can play in 8U, and so on. During the registration process, you will see only the division based on the participant’s date of birth. To request to be moved up, please contact us.
